Thanks to some great new friends we had a house to move into the day we arrived.  It was a brand new duplex  There were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on each side with a small living area and a very small kitchen space in each.
There was an walled in area to park cars and each had a pila in the back.
A pila is a Honduran washing machine.  It is a cement sink type structure with a washing board on one side for scrubbing clothes.  I was fortunate to purchase a washing machine our first week here and have not used a pila yet.

Nice! May I ask? I am considering bringing my Washing Machine & Dryer from the US to Honduras but wanted to find out first, what price range is a regular Washing Machine? I'm probably going to save $$ by buying one there but I have no clue how much they are. Best of luck to you all!
